About Volleyball Bash for a Cure

The Volleyball Bash for a Cure event will bring the community and families together around the great summer activity of sand volleyball while raising money benefiting the Greater Minnesota Fight for a Cure. Volleyball Bash for a Cure is a fund-raising event with two main aspects; The Volleyball Bash for a Cure tournament, and second, the awards cermony and silent auction.

Money raised through the Volleyball Bash for a Cure will be donated to cancer resources in Greater Minnesota. The diligent research, resources and support available for cancer patients and their families deeply influence the overall treatment experience. Our group's main objective is to positively impact a cancer patient's treatment journey by donating to cancer resources and research in Greater Minnesota.

The event planning committe is made up of family and friends who have joined together after many of their lives and lives of their loved ones have been touched by cancer. It is a truely inspiring event to be a part of!

Volleyball Bash for a Cure 2010

Due to the large amount of generous sponsors, donors, family and friends help, supporters, and volunteers, we were able to host The 1st annual Fall Volleyball Bash for a Cure on Sept 24th & 25th, 2010. Between Friday night and Saturday we had an attendance of about 1,000 people. With the 16 team tournament entrants, the silent auction, the ticket drawings and the pig roast we were able to make nearly $7,000 dollars at this 1st of many to come events. The nearly $7,000 donation was given to the Coborns Cancer Center and was directed towards Squousmos Cell cancer research in honor of a good friend and family member to many in the local area, Michael Schmitt. The VB bash team paid out $900 to the top 3 teams at the event, which was then generously donated back to the cause by those top teams.

We are so thankful for the great turnout in 2010 and are looking forward to many more successful years to follow!
